Went out with Alex, Bax and Chris to watch Pirates of the Caribbean III. I liked it, except for the obviously cop-out ending. Sigh.
There's a Popular bookstore in Jusco 2, and we went in to take a look. There was a book there on sale... a book titled 'Sophie's World.' It's a book about a girl named Sophie, who gets a letter in the mail from someone named Hilde. Sophie embarks on a correspondence with Hilde, during which they discuss philosophy and Hilde's origins are unraveled.
I never read the book. But I do remember... that one year in school, Jas got that book for LMH. And later on, LMH would pester us to read it, saying that it's an eyeopening read...
It was one of his favourites.
Maybe it's time to get the book...
The anime, Serial Experiments Lain, delves into many topics. One of them is the principle that 'if you are not remembered, you never existed.'
Maybe this is part of my quest to make sure that he is never forgotten. It's probably pretty unlikely that he ever will be forgotten, at least by those who knew him personally. Until that time, at least, he exists... right?
Perhaps an existence like that is better than any other.
